A Young Girl

I found a picture, its quite old
Of a young girl who looks about four years old
She doesn’t look that small
She looks about three foot tall
The picture is black and white
It was summer and the sun was shinning bright
Behind her are bushes and trees
Her dress was short above her knees
The collar on her dress looks like its lace
The sun brightens up her little face
In her hair it looks like a bow
This little girl I didn’t know
And later in her life
That little girl grew up and became my wife
She was my wife
Up until she lost her life
Our time together in my mind will forever last
The picture is in my box of memories past
